i own 6 amps, 3 of which are tube marshalls, and the class 5 is still my all time favourite. i did the lyle plexi mod to it which just cleans up the voice a bit to be brighter and better mids, and it destroys my origin50c and my 100w 900. it’s just got a sound i vibe with

I bought the silver one in 1993 and it was a favourite until stolen in 2000. My friend bought the green version and didn't like it as much as the silver. The only pedal that comes close is the Biyang F7 Fuzz with 3 way muff bright and warm switch. I have never seen another one in the 30 years. Cheers

I have the green british custom 12 that is the first one pictured on his website under the tag. It is a fantastic amp but the only problem is it is so good my friends keep borrowing it. Well worth the money and the wait.

The key is dialing it back for more standard sounds, up for more textural stuff. It's not neutered, like most commercial versions.
